On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed a strong Under‑19 Asia Cup squad for India. Ayush Mhatre, the opener from Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has been appointed captain, and the team also features incredible talents like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Vihaan Malhotra.
IND vs PAK on December 14 at Under-19 Asia Cup
Just recently, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) hosted the Rising Stars Asia Cup in the T20 format. It was basically the Emerging Asia Cup, where fringe players and T20 talents across the continent took part. Pakistan A won the tournament by beating Bangladesh A in a thrilling final that saw a Super Over. India A, led by Jitesh Sharma, also featured Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who had an incredible tournament.
Now, he is set for action in the upcoming Under-19 Asia Cup, where he is again likely to dominate. In his 11-game Youth ODI career, Suryavanshi already holds the record for hitting the most sixes (43) ever and has mustered 556 runs at an unbelievable average and SR of 50.5 and 151.91, respectively. Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre has been made the captain, with Vihaan Malhotra as his deputy.

Bangladesh have won the last two editions of the Under-19 Men’s Asia Cups. However, India hold incredible dominance in the competition, having won it 8 times out of the total 12 editions.
