Dhaka and its surrounding regions were hit with an earthquake of 5.7 on the Richter scale. At that exact moment, the 56th over of the second innings, Bangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz was bowling to Ireland’s wicketkeeper batter Stephen Doheny. And then everyone stopped.
The players in the dressing room were told to come out, and everyone stood over the boundary line at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. The spectators in the stand stood perplexed, and some looked worried as well.
