Delhi Capitals (DC) Women have retained their core for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season. Coming into the mega auction as the 3-time runners-up, they don’t have to assemble their squad from scratch. Since they have retained 2 all-rounders, DC Women will need some small reinforcements.
6 all-rounders Delhi Capitals Women should target in WPL 2026 mega auction
Although Delhi has Annabel Sutherland and Marizanne Kapp as their middle-order batting all-rounders, getting Amelia Kerr should be a no-brainer. The Kiwi ended up as the highest wicket-taker in the WPL 2025 season. She didn’t have the best of times with the bat, but one can expect her to perform better this time around.
DC might look towards Chamari Athapaththu, who can open alongside Shafali Verma. The Sri Lankan all-rounder hasn’t been valued much in the WPL and can be bought for cheap. If not as a starter, Chamari can be used as a valuable backup.
| All-rounder | Type | Price (2025) | WPL 2025 stats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amelia Kerr✈️ | Leg-Spin | INR 1.00 crore | 73 runs at 9.12 & strike rate of 82.95 18 wickets at 15.94 & economy of 7.75 |
| Deepti Sharma | Off-spin | INR 2.60 crore | 122 runs at 15.25 & strike rate of 114.01 8 wickets at 33.12 & economy of 8.68 |
| Pooja Vastrakar | Pace | INR 1.90 crore | Did not play |
| S Sajana | Off-spin | INR 15.00 lakh | 51 runs at 10.20 & strike rate of 127.50 8 wickets at 33.12 & economy of 8.68 |
| Chloe Tryon✈️ | Left arm Orthodox | INR 30.00 lakh | Did not play |
| Chamari Athapaththu✈️ | Off-spin | INR 30.00 lakh | Did not play |
Deepti Sharma can be used in the lower middle order, but she won’t be cheap. She was the UP Warriorz captain and will be one of the leaders in any team she walks into. She’s one of the best defensive bowlers and can be used in all phases.
Pooja Vastrakar is a frontline pacer, which DC don’t have, who can hit a long ball. Due to her injuries, she hasn’t played much in the last few months, but will be invaluable as a proven Indian all-rounder. Lastly, Chloe Tryon and S Sajana can both be seen as finishers. Both primarily play as a batter who can give you overs in certain situations.
