After her superhuman effort of 127 not out vs Australia in the semis of the Women’s World Cup 2025, the expectations have increased many-fold from Jemimah Rodrigues. But the question is, can she perform under-pressure vs South Africa on the day of the final, on Sunday, in Navi Mumbai?
Well, the answer might just lie in her overall ODI record vs the opposition. Till now, Jemimah Rodrigues has played 58 ODIs for India and scored 1725 runs. Her average is 35.20, and has scored three tons and eight fifties. But her efficacy reduces considerably when it comes to the South Africa team.
Against them, she has played 12 matches so far, where she has scored only 286 runs. Her highest is 123, which only shows, Jemimah has been rather poor in the other matches. And that could be a big issue for Team India, when they step on to the park for the final.
