The ‘GOAT’ who has accomplished everything in football, Lionel Messi, is heading to India in what will be one of the biggest crossovers in Indian football history. The Inter Miami star is touring the nation at the end of the year and the buzz about the much-awaited journey has started already. In his four-city tour to India, Messi will be seen live in action in Kerala (November), New Delhi (Dec 15), Kolkata (Dec 13) and Mumbai (Dec 14).

Now, as far as the event in New Delhi is concerned, fans have a golden chance to see their idol live in action with various other stars. He will play a celebrity football match that will also include a tribute to the legend at halftime. Stars like Virat Kohli and Shahrukh Khan are also expected to join, with the excitement at an all-time high. Catch Messi’s entire itinerary in New Delhi for December 15 below:

  1. 02:30PM – 03:20PM:
    • Celebrity Football Match (30 minutes, split into two halves of 15 minutes each with a 10-minute musical tribute in between)
      • 1st Half: 02:30PM – 02:45PM
      • Half-time Musical Tribute: 02:45PM – 02:55PM
      • 2nd Half: 02:55PM – 03:10PM
  2. 03:10PM – 03:15PM: G.O.A.T Cup Handover (5 minutes)
  3. 03:15PM – 03:25PM: Penalty Shootout (10 minutes)
  4. 03:25PM – 03:55PM: Football Clinic (30 minutes)
  5. 03:55PM – 04:00PM: Felicitation Ceremony (5 minutes) and Stadium Drive-Through (Messi takes a round of the stadium)

Apart from this, Messi is also expected to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Delhi.

For the fans who are buzzing to get hold of the action, there’s a good news coming your way. The window to book the tickets has opened. Messi’s visit to Delhi will see him play at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the official ticket partner for the event is District (by Zomato).

How to book tickets for Lionel Messi event in Delhi

For those unaware, you can buy tickets for the Lionel Messi event on the District app or website. The tickets window has been split in two halves. On October 8, only HSBC credit card holders will get a pre-sale opportunity. It will be an exclusive chance to confirm your booking early from 12:00 PM onwards.

However, if you don’t have the HSBC credit card, you need not worry. The sale for the general public will start from October 9, beginning at 2:00 PM IST. There, you can book all the available stands. One person is allowed to book as many as four tickets at once.
