India cricket team all-rounder Shivam Dube will be a part of Mumbai’s team in their practice game against Maharashtra before the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 season. The three-day practice game between Maharashtra and Mumbai will take place between October 7-9 at the MCA stadium in Gahunje. As per reports, Dube along with former Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane and Tushar Deshpande are a part of the squad.
Dube in, SKY out of Mumbai’s practice game
As per Times of India, Dube is confirmed to play for Mumbai in the practice match which begins on Tuesday against Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the report states that India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav will miss the fixture. Both stars were last seen in action during the Asia Cup 2025 where India emerged victorious. Both SKY and Dube are currently not in the scheme of things of the national selectors in red-ball cricket.
The game will also see Prithvi Shaw in action against his former team Mumbai as he has now moved to Maharashtra. Mumbai will be led by Shardul Thakur who has replaced Rahane as captain after the latter stepped down earlier this year. It is pertinent to point out that Rahane was initially named in Mumbai’s squad but has been added to the side, as per the report.
