Rahul Dravid’s son has been named Karnataka’s captain for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy which October 9-17. The tournament, which will be held in Dehradun, will see five groups with six teams each vying for the trophy. Anvay Dravid, who was Karnataka’s leading run-getter in the previous edition of the tournament, will lead the side in this year’s edition of the tourney.

Anvay Dravid, a wicketkeeper-batsman like his father, has been making waves in the cricketing world. He was the top run-getter in the Vijay Merchant Trophy 2023-24 for Karnataka, scoring 357 runs from five matches at an average of 45 with four fifties.
Meanwhile, Karnataka has also named their squad for Ranji Trophy 2025/26 season as well. The tournament will see the return of Karun Nair to the side as the opener after spending two seasons with Vidarbha. Mayank Agarwal has been named the captain of the side. Shreyas Gopal will spearhead the spin unit for Karnataka while the selectors have decided to go ahead with four specialized pacers in the squad spearheaded by Vijaykumar Vyshak.
