33/9: Spinners run riot in Asia Cup final as Pakistan slip from 113/1 to 146 all out

Pakistan were 87/1 after 10 overs, but slipped to 146 all out in the Asia Cup Final.

It was a tale of two halves for Pakistan in the Asia Cup Final. Facing arch rivals in the first ever IND vs PAK final, the Men in Green got off to a great start. However, India led by Kuldeep Yadav turned the game on its head forcing a stunning collapse in Dubai on Sunday.

Pakistan fall like dominoes in Asia Cup Final

Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman had put Pakistan in control with a stunning opening partnership. The duo put on 84 for the first wicket, with Farhan scoring yet another half-century. Varun Chakravarthy broke that partnership in the 10th over, with Zaman then settling in with Saim Ayub.

Pakistan were cruising at 113/1 in the 13th over, eyeing a score in excess of 180. However, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel turned the game on its head. Ayub fell to Yadav in his 3rd over, while Axar had Mohammed Haris and Hussain Talat. Yadav in his final over struck thrice to run over the opposition line.

The Men in Green in lost their 9 wickets for just 33 runs. It the least Pakistan have scored in a T20I for their last 8 wickets. Salman Ali Agha and Co played 45 dot balls in the Asia Cup final, ending up with a rather below par total.
