Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Agha admitted that India were the better team in the two matches that they went face to face in the Asia Cup. His remarks came ahead of the IND vs PAK final, which will mark the third time the two arch-rivals will lock horns within a month. India secured a 7-wicket and 6-wicket wins against Pakistan in the group stage and the Super Fours respectively.
Pakistan admit India were the better team
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the IND vs PAK Asia Cup final, Agha claimed that Pakistan committed more mistakes than India, leading to losses in both the matches that they played previously. The Pakistan captain hoped that his side will not err much in the final of the Asia Cup. Salman also accepted that the team is indeed facing the pressure after losing two games to The Men in Blue in the tournament.
“There is always the pressure of an IND vs PAK game. It will be wrong to say there is no pressure. But we have committed more mistakes than India and hence we did not win. If we make less mistakes against them, then I think Pakistan has a chance. I think the game between India and Pakistan is as such that the team making lesser mistakes wins. We will try to ensure we make less mistakes tomorrow,” Agha said.
Pakistan have suffered only two losses so far in Asia Cup 2025 and both of them have come against India.
