After delivering a sub-par performance in his maiden Test series against England, Sai Sudharsan has once again been selected for the IND vs WI series. The selectors decided to repose their faith on the Tamil Nadu batter and he did not disappoint. While he did manage to score 73 runs in the 1st unofficial Test against Australia A, he truly proved his worth in the 2nd innings of the second game where he got to a hundred and ensured that India A secure a mammoth win against the opposition.
Sai Sudharsan impresses selectors with timely ton
Sudharsan managed to reach 100 runs off 172 deliveries in the 2nd innings of the unofficial Test in Lucknow. He struck nine fours and one six en route to his century. India A, thanks to Sudharsan and Rahul’s knock, clinched a convincing 5-wicket against Australia A in the 2nd official Test to seal the series 1-0.
In the 1st innings, Sudharsan managed to score a 75-run knock. Despite having a good run in IPL 2025, the Tamil Nadu batter had a rather miserable debut in Tests, managing to score just 140 runs from 6 innings including two ducks. However, the selectors have decided to give him a long rope and have categorically mentioned that he will continue to be India’s number 3 in the IND vs WI Test series.
