India A vs Australia A 2nd unofficial Test, Day 2 highlights: Sai Sudharsan stands out, Siraj strikes late

India A bowlers staged a late show after the team suffered a batting collapse on Day 2 of the 2nd unofficial Test against Australia A

India A managed to get a couple of early wickets after they were bundled out for just 194 runs in their 1st innings. Australia A bowlers wreaked havoc on the hosts on Day 2 of the unofficial Test with Thornton headlining the show with four wickets to his name. Despite AUSA losing two early wickets, they still remain firmly ahead in the contest, with Sweeney (11) and Peake (1) at the crease.

Australia A dominate Day 2

Reduced to 384/9 at stumps on Day 1, Australia A were bowled out for 420 runs on Day 2. The visitors never let the hosts settle as they went berserk right from the word go. All eyes were on Rahul but he failed to deliver before the IND vs WI Test series. KL Rahul was the first batter to depart, as he was sent packing by Sutherland for just 11 runs in the 8th over. Jagadeesan (38) and Sai Sudharsan (75) managed to steady the ship for India after the loss of an early wicket with a 100+ run partnership.

However, that was the last of the stands that India A could produce. The rest of the batters departed for single-digit scores, barring Ayush Badoni (21) and Prasidh Krishna (16). India A were bowled out for 194 runs at the end of 52.5 overs.

India A struck twice before stumps on Day 2, with Siraj, Brar and Suthar taking a wicket each to reduce Australia A to 16/3 at stumps. Campbell Kellaway was dismissed for a six-ball duck b Siraj while Konstas fell pray to Gurnoor Brar after scoring just three runs. Oliver Peake was the last batter to depart, thanks to Suthar, and his wicket marked the end of play on Day 2 of the unofficial Test in Lucknow. Australia A lead by 242 runs at present.
