Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be eyeing to bounce back after suffering losses in their first Super 4 matches in Asia Cup 2025. Salman Ali Agha and co. were outfoxed by India, who clinched a 6-wicket on Sunday. Meanwhile, Charith Asalanka and co. were stunned by Bangladesh as the Tigers clinched a 4-wicket win.
Sri Lanka were unbeaten in the group stage, securing victories against Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong. They batted second in all three competitions. However, they batted first against BAN and it backfired.
Pakistan, on the other hand, managed to win two out of their three league stage games. After defeating Oman in the first match, they lost to India. They then bounced back in the game against Oman, only to lose once again against India.
If Pakistan win the contest against Sri Lanka, then the latter are knocked out of the Asia Cup 2025. A defeat would put their chances of making it to the final a near impossible thing.
