Earlier today, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will shortly announce Apollo Tyres as their new title sponsor for the India Cricket Team.
The men’s and women’s teams are currently playing the Asia Cup 2025 and against Australia, respectively, without a sponsor since their deal with Dream11 came to a premature end due to the ‘Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025’.
From shades of yellow and blue to navy blue, Team India has had some iconic jersey designs and varied sponsors through the years. So, here are all the official Team India title sponsors.
ITC Limited (1993-2001)

ITC Limited (Wills and ITC Hotels) was Team India’s first-ever lead sponsor. The partnership lasted for 8 years (June 1993 to May 2001).
Sahara India (2001-2013)

To date, Sahara is the longest-serving title sponsor. From June 2001 to December 2013, the brand was associated with Team India.
Star India (2014-17)

Star India took over from Sahara India. This remained from January 2014 until March 2017.
Oppo India (2017-19)

Oppo India was supposed to remain as Team India’s title sponsor from 2017 until 2022 for a deal worth INR 1079 crore. But they pulled due to poor return on investment and the deal lasted from May 2017 until August 2019. Oppo subsequently transferred the rights to Byju’s.
Byju’s (2019-2023)

Byju’s remained as Team India sponsor for almost four years, from September 2019 to March 2023.
Dream11 (2023-25)

Dream11 was supposed to be Team India’s sponsor from July 2023 to 31 March 2026, but as mentioned above, they had to pull out in August 2025. They were paying INR 358 crore to the BCCI.
Apollo Tyres (2025-

Apollo Tyres has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with BCCI as Team India’s title sponsor, ending in March 2028. The deal is reportedly worth INR 579 crore.
