India cricket team assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeshate categorically ruled out any possibility of a change in the playing XI in the contest against Pakistan. The Men in Blue clinched a dominating 9-wicket win against UAE in their tournament opener on September 10. Ahead of the IND vs PAK tie on September 14, India’s coach spilled the beans on what the playing XI for the team could look like.
India’s playing XI vs PAK revealed
Speaking at the press conference before IND vs PAK tie, Doeschate informed that there is unlikely to be any changes made to India’s XI. The assistant coach said that India will use their versatility to their best – with the assistant coach backing the likes of Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel to do well in the contest. In the first game against UAE, India opted to use Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma as the openers while Samson never got a chance to bat despite being part of the side.
“Unlikely to make changes. The biggest information takeaway is from when we played here in the Champions Trophy. We feel that the wickets plaed differently. But we feel that the combination that played in the 1st game as right set up. The overriding principle is that we won’t risk our players who can play at different positions, like Sanju.
