India vs Pakistan stats: Suryakumar Yadav's only weakness, Bumrah the boss & Samson-Gill's debut

India vs Pakistan: The Indian players have been largely good against the arch-rivals, but a few are yet to make their debuts against the opponents.

Whether the fans and an average Indian likes it or, our team is going to play Pakistan on 14th September, in the Asia Cup 2025 league match. While there are calls for boycott, the cricketers still have a game to play. And such is the nature of the competition, that somehow the match will be followed.

So, it becomes imperative to have a look at Indian team, and how the players have performed against Pakistan in T20Is. And let us assume that the team will only have one change, with Arshdeep Singh coming in.

No IND vs PAK matches for Abhishek & Shubman till now

Abhishek Sharma: The opener hasn’t played a single match against Pakistan, and Sunday’s match will be his first against the arch-rivals.

Shubman Gill: The vice-captain is also yet to appear in a match vs Pakistan.

Suryakumar Yadav: The skipper is yet to display his best against PAK. In 5 matches till now he has scored 64 runs at an average of 12, and a strike-rate of 118.

Tilak Varma: No matches for the southpaw batter against the arch-rivals.

Hardik Pandya factor vs Pakistan

Sanju Samson: Surprisingly, Sanju, who has been around in the team for 10 years now, has never played a match against Pakistan.

Hardik Pandya: The all-rounder has scored 91 runs in 7 matches at an average of 18. Meanwhile, bowling-wise he has been excellent, picking up 13 wickets and strike-rate has been only 9.9.

Axar Patel: Two matches have fetched only 20 runs for him. In bowling, he has picked up one wicket and the economy has been at 10.66.

Kuleep Yadav: No matches for the chinaman against Pakistan, despite playing 41 T20Is till now.

Varun Chakravarthy: The mystery spinner has played one match against Pakistan, where he could not pick up a wicket. But still he was economical and gave away only 33 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah: Pakistan can’t seem to tackle the best pacer in the world. In 4 matches he has picked up 5 wickets, and his economy has been only 5.42.

Arshdeep Singh: The pacer will most likely be in the team for the contest, and in 4 matches till now, has 7 wickets to his name. Economy has been only 7.85.
