Kotak on IND vs PAK match

India’s batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak, has stated that all the players are focused solely on cricket and aren’t thinking about what has been happening in the background before the India vs Pakistan match. The statement comes after backlash over Team India playing against Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal has claimed that elections won’t be needed to name the next BCCI President, as the board members will decide on one candidate unanimously to replace Roger Binny. Sachin Tendulkar’s name was getting propped up as the next in charge, but he’s denied such speculations.

Samson happy with middle order gig

Kotak also shared that India captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir feel that Sanju Samson is the right fit in the middle order over Jitesh Sharma, India’s other wicketkeeper. The batting coach also stated that Samson’s happy to bat at any number for the team.

England break India’s record

England have become the team to score 300 runs in a T20I match against a full member nation. Phil Salt and Jos Buttler’s brutal hitting took England to a record 304 score. Salt recorded the highest ever individual score for an Englishman (141), and England won by their highest ever run margin (158).

Patidar’s hundred in Duleep Trophy final

Rajat Patidar has thrown his hat into the Test contention ring. The Central Zone captain, who scored one century and two fifties in the last three innings, has hit a hundred in the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone. Patidar had made his Test debut last year but was dropped after poor performances.

Ganguly to attend BCCI AGM

Harbhajan Singh and Sourav Ganguly will be present for the BCCI AGM on September 28 in Mumbai. Harbhajan will represent the Punjab Cricket Association, while Ganguly will be there for the Cricket Association of Bengal. The spinner is also reported to be in the fray to become a BCCI office bearer.
