Interest in the IND vs PAK clash is at an all time low. The India vs Pakistan is the epitome as far as rivalry is concerned and the prospect of their clash is a major fuel for Asian Cricket Council. However recent political tensions between the two nations has divided interest, with tickets sales also slow for the marquee clash in Dubai on Sunday.
Tickets for IND vs PAK still available, ACC cuts prices
Tickets for an India vs Pakistan sell out in seconds. However, this time around in the Asia Cup 2025, that was an exception. Tickets still remain available for the game despite only 4 days to go for the game. Calls for boycott have been ringing in India, following the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year. Last month, an Indian legends side featuring Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan had called off their matches against Pakistan. PCB in retaliation called for no participation in future such tournaments.
Amid the growing tension, the ACC have decided to reduce costs to entice the public. As per GeoTV, the organisers have cut prices for IND vs PAK tickets. Standard tickets, initially priced at 475 dirhams (INR 11.3k), have been reduced to 350 dirhams (INR 8.3k). While it is stated that costs were reduced due to fan complaints, it is fair to believe the slow sale of them is a major reason. Premier enclosures have been the slowest to sell, with organisers surprised by the lack of demand for IND vs PAK tickets.
Nonetheless, an Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) official expressed confidence in ticket sales driving fast as the game approaches. He infact refuted any claims of unsold tickets and struggle in sales.
“The signs are very encouraging. There is no truth to the claim that tickets are not getting sold. On Wednesday night, we put out 3,000 tickets through the online channel — the Platinum List — and they were all sold out within a couple of minutes. It clearly shows that there is strong interest among fans,” an ECB source told Times of India.
