The SA20 is set for a hard reset with the player auction ahead of season 4. Cricket South Africa (CSA) will hold the auction for the 2026 edition of the SA20 on September 9. Several global superstars are set to go under the hammer including the likes of Aiden Markram, James Anderson and Dewald Brevis.
549 players have registered for the auction. Of these, just 84 will be able to find a spot. But there’s a further breakup. 59 are for South African players, while the remaining 25 are for overseas players. Among them, teams have to sign at least two players who are under 23 years old in their 19-man squad. All 6 franchises have a salary cap of R 41 million (INR 20.55 crore).
