Who will be India’s next ODI captain after Rohit Sharma? It seems certain that Shubman Gill, India’s Test captain and T20I vice-captain, will take over from the modern great. Some reports had emerged that Shreyas Iyer could be the next in charge, but it looks like Gill has been earmarked by the BCCI.

The 30-year-old revealed that his main focus has always been working on himself when faced with rejection. Shreyas stated that he feels frustrated when he isn’t selected, but working hard and waiting for an opportunity is all he can do.

BCCI’s bank balance revealed
BCCI’s bank balance was a whopping INR 20,686 crore as of September 2024. A mere 5 years ago, this sum was around INR 6,000 crore back in 2019. That’s an increase of nearly 350%. In the last two seasons, BCCI disbursed INR 1,990 crore to state bodies in 2023-24 and INR 2,013 crore in 2024-25.
