Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar, has got engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the maternal granddaughter of prominent Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The ceremony was a private affair attended by close friends and family from both sides, with neither family releasing an official statement as of yet.
Arjun, 25, is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder currently representing Goa in domestic cricket. His career began with Mumbai in the 2020-21 season before he moved to Goa, where he made an instant impact by scoring a century on his first-class debut against Rajasthan in the 2022 Ranji Trophy.
In 17 first-class matches, Arjun has scored 532 runs and taken 37 wickets, including a five-wicket haul. He has also featured in List A and T20 formats and represented the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League, picking up three wickets in five appearances. He’s still part of the MI squad.
Who is Saaniya Chandok?
Saaniya Chandok hails from one of Mumbai’s most influential business families. She is the daughter of Mumbai businessman Sunny Chandhok and the maternal granddaughter of tycoon Ravi Ghai, the chairman of the Graviss Group, a conglomerate with interests in hospitality, frozen food, and real estate. The Graviss Group is known for running Baskin Robbins’ India operations and also owns brands such as The Brooklyn Creamery.
As per The Economic Times, Graviss Food Solutions Private Limited reported a revenue of ₹624 crore in FY 2023-24, marking a 20% increase from the previous year. The company’s authorised capital stands at ₹2.23 crore, with a paid-up capital of just ₹90,100. While it remains unclear whether Saaniya is actively involved with the Graviss Group, she has entrepreneurial interests of her own, as she runs Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a pet grooming and care business in Mumbai, which she co-founded in 2022.
