Rohit Sharma headlined a star studded line up as England superstars picked their all star Hundred XI. The Hit-Man was featured alongside T20 heavyweights Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard. Virat Kohli was however snubbed in the line up picked by Jos Buttler, Joe Root and Harry Brook among others.
Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle headline Dream Hundred XI
England stars collaborated to pick a dream XI to feature in the Hundred. The ECB organised competition kicked off its 3rd season on July 5th right after the India vs England series. While no Indian players feature, England spinner Adil Rashid backed Rohit Sharma to open the innings.
Sharma led MI to 5 IPL titles while won the T20 World Cup in 2024 with India. He is amongst the leading run scorers in T20I history. Rohit will partner with Chris Gayle, with Brian Lara, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran and Rashid Khan among other stars.
The line up did miss several big names, none bigger than Virat Kohli. The 36-year-old is the leading run getter in IPL history and won the title with RCB in June.
