SRH, LSG among six strategic partners to sign The Hundred deals with ECB

Six strategic partners, including the owners of SRH and LSG, have finalised deals with the ECB to buy stakes in The Hundred teams

Taking one step closer to their goal of privatising The Hundred, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that six strategic partners had signed deals with the board. These six partners are Tech Titans, Knighthead Capital Management, RPSG Group, Sun TV Network Limited, GMR group and Washington Freedom. The deal marks the entry of IPL franchises into yet another league, with SRH, LSG and DC owners venturing into The Hundred.

As per Times of India,  Tech Titans acquired 49% of London Spirit, Knighthead Capital Management took 49% of Birmingham Phoenix, RPSG Group secured 70% of Manchester Originals, Sun TV Network Limited purchased 100% of Northern Superchargers, GMR Group acquired 49% of Southern Brave, and Washington Freedom took 50% of Welsh Fire. The report states that MI owners Reliance Group will sign a deal later this year to accquire 49% of Oval Invincibles and Cain International & Ares Management taking 49% of Trent Rockets.
