Roger Binny to continue as BCCI chief? Board likely to come under national sports bill

Right now, the upper age limit for BCCI administrators is 70, and current president Roger Binny turned 70 on July 19.

As per a fresh report in India Today, the BCCI is likely to come under the national sports bill, a sports ministry source said on Tuesday. What that effectively means is, it will increase the upper limit age gap of 70 to 75, for any administrator. Roger Binny, who turned 70 on July 19, could now maybe continue being the president of the board, with the sports bill coming into effect. Had that not been the case, he would have been asked to step down.
