Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be desperate to end the losing steak at their home ground – the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. The franchise has suffered seven back-to-back losses at the venue, being unable to make the stadium their fortress unlike other teams. Out of these 7 losses, 4 have been suffered by in Women’s Premier League (WPL) while three have come in IPL 2025.
Will RCB end losing streak at home?
It all began on February 21, 2025 when RCB-W lost to MI-W by 4 wickets in Bengaluru. Thereafter, the WPL 2024 champions went on to lose three more games on the trot, suffering defeats against UPW, GG and DC. The trend hasn’t changed in IPL 2025 either.

|---|---|
| 4 wickets | v MI Women |
| RCB lose in Super Over | v UPW Women |
| 6 wickets | v GG Women |
| 9 wickets | v DC Women |
Rajat Patidar and co. have tasted enormous success in away games but are yet to open their account in home matches. RCB have lost to GT, PBKS and GT so far in the three matches they have played at home. In fact, all their wins in IPL 2025 have come from away games. RCB have a chance to finally break the curse on Thursday as they take on RR.
“There’s still one big challenge in front of him (Rajat Patidar) —securing our first win at Chinnaswamy this season. But the belief in the camp is strong,” RCB finisher Jitesh Sharma stated on the eve of the game.

Will RCB qualify for IPL playoffs if they lose all home games?
RCB have four matches left to play at home, including the game against RR. They currently have 10 points to their name, with five wins from 8 matches. Considering that any team needs at least 16 points to make it to the IPL 2025 playoffs, RCB need to win at least 3 out of the remaining six games.
However, 4 out of those 6 games are scheduled to be held in Bengaluru. Should Patidar and co. lose all 4 games at home, then they stand very little chances of making it to the top four.
On the contrary, RCB need to win at least two out of their 4 home games along with victories in both their away outings in order to qualify for the playoffs comfortably.
Remaining matches
