Ahead of the upcoming IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill joined the side on March 17 (Monday). The official handle of GT made the announcement on X as they gear up for the start of their campaign against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
“Shub ghadi che aavi!,” posted GT in their post caption, along with a picture of Gill arriving at the camp to fireworks and traditional dance.

Gujarat Titans eyeing 2nd IPL title
The Gujarat Titans experienced a stellar debut IPL season in 2022, capturing the championship title, followed by a strong performance in 2023, where they finished as runners-up. However, their fortunes took a sharp decline in 2024, as they managed only five wins out of 14 matches, ending the season in eighth place and missing out on playoff qualification.
Their struggles last year were largely attributed to inconsistencies on the field and a significant leadership change after Hardik Pandya departed the franchise to return to the Mumbai Indians.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, the Gujarat Titans are set to kick off their campaign against the Punjab Kings on March 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
