A net bowler has shed light into New Zealand’s preparation for Champions Trophy final and their worry doesn’t seem to be mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy. Ahead of the high-octane clash in Dubai, Shashwat Tiwari – who helped the Kiwis gear up for the clash against the Men in Blue – revealed that the team was focusing on how to handle Ravindra Jadeja and other left-arm spinners. Rohit Sharma and co. are likely to go with the same four-spinner strategy that has worked so well for them so far.
New Zealand worried about Jadeja menace in CT 20255 final?
Speaking to ANI, the net bowler revealed that at one point of time during practice on Saturday, he was asked by the New Zealand batters to bowl from 18 yards to prepare for Jadeja. Shashwat reasoned that it was because of the kind of pace the southpaw had and hence the speed expected from him. He said that while they did well to bowl from that point, the batters soon realised that the ball was coming too quickly.
“Today, I fortunately got to bowl. Well, at one point of time, they asked me to bowl from 18 yards just to prepare for Ravindra Jadeja. It is because of the kind of pace he has; they were expecting that kind of speed. We bowled from that point and we did nicely. But when they realised the ball was coming too quickly, I was asked to bowl from 22 yards,” Tiwari said.

Tiwari further reckoned that the New Zealand batters would not be able to cope with the Indian left-arm spinners in the Champions Trophy final.
“They are preparing for left-armers. I won’t say they are struggling. Of course, our Indian team has top-class spinners, but I don’t think they will be able to cope with them,” the net bowler added.
