After the ICC Champions Trophy debacle, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the blueprint for the next Pakistan series. The squads for the three ODIs and five T20 internationals have been announced. Quite fascinatingly, many star players have been rested (or dropped) from one format. For instance, Babar Azam isn’t part of the T20Is but is there for the three one-day internationals.
Babar and Shaheen in Champions Trophy
Babar Azam had an awful performance in the recent Champions Trophy; the batter was promoted to the top to open the innings. However, he only managed to score one half century in the two matches he has played in the tournament, as his fortunes didn’t change even as an opener. Also, Shaheen Afridi managed to take 2 wickets in the two matches he has played.
