David Warner is already a star among Telugu film audiences, as his reels and TikTok videos on Tollywood songs have gone viral. Now, the former Australian cricketer is set to make his Telugu movie debut alongside superstar Nithiin in “Robinhood”.
Producer Ravi Shankar announced the news during a Kingston promotional event in Hyderabad. Helmed by Venky Kudumula, the film is set to be a thrilling entertainer.
Warner to make cameo in Robinhood
David Warner has consistently expressed his love for Tollywood on social media. From dancing to popular Telugu songs like “Srivalli” from “Pushpa” to recreating iconic dialogues, he has captivated fans with his enthusiasm. He even celebrated his centuries in true “Pushpa” style, further strengthening his connection with Telugu cinema.
The upcoming film Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula will features Nithiin and Sreeleela in lead roles. This action-comedy offers a fresh take on the legendary Robin Hood story with a modern spin. The cast also includes Shine Tom Chacko, Vennela Kishore, and Rajendra Prasad. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music, with Sai Sriram handling cinematography. Robinhood is set to release in theaters on March 28, 2025.
