Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh slammed Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed for his reaction after the dismissal of Shubman Gill in IND vs PAK tie in Champions Trophy. The PAK bowler earned flak for his reaction after dismissing the Indian vice-captain in the high-octane contest in Dubai on Sunday. The Men in Blue thrashed Rizwan and co. by 6 wickets, sending them packing from the very tournament that they are the hosts of.
Yograj slams Abrar for Gill’s dismissal in IND vs PAK tie
Speaking to News18, Yograj took a dig at spinner Abrar Ahmed for his reaction to Gill’s dismissal. He further said that the Pakistani bowler should have bowled to his strengths to deny Virat Kohli a century instead of bowling a wide delivery.
“Look at the way they reacted after dismissing an opponent. You are giving such reactions. (referring to the reaction given to Gill’s dismissal) Kohli is about to get an hundred. Bowl with your full strength. Why bowl a wide do deny his hundred? This is a vile thought and a very narrow-minded thought. This should never happen. You should play like a lion, like a champion. Win or defeat is another topic,” Yograj Singh said.

Needless send-off by Abrar Ahmed to Gill
Gill was batting like a man possessed. Some of his shots were poetry in motion but it was all halted when tweaker Abrar Ahmed came up with a superb leg-break to castle the Indian opener. However, it didn’t stop there. Abrar slotted in his celebration and poked Gill to go back to the pavilion with a needless gesture. The Abrar send-off to Gill wasn’t needed.
Meanwhile, Kohli saw India across the line, striking a boundary off his last delivery to reach the triple-figure mark. The Men in Blue registered a 6-wicket win over their arch-rivals in Dubai.
