The Pakistan cricket team will receive a Pakistani Rupee (PKR) of 1 crore if they beat the India cricket team in the ICC Champions Trophy. Dubai International Cricket Stadium is hosting the India vs. Pakistan match, and Sindh Governor (in Pakistan) Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori has said he’ll reward the entire Men in Blue with Rs 31 lakh (in Indian Rupee).
Pakistan dangled a PKR 1 crore carrot to beat India
“I am in London, but my prayers and heart are with Pakistan as they take on India. If the Pakistani team wins, I am announcing a prize of 1 crore rupees for the team. The whole nation is praying. And God willing, if we achieve victory, we will definitely win,” Sindh Governor Tessori told ARY News.
This should definitely serve as a boost to players. Not that they wouldn’t give their 100% even before, but knowing they’ll be appreciated monetarily as well should motivate them even further.
