The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to kick off with the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19. In preparation for the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a grand opening ceremony, which will feature a special air show by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). A curtain-raiser event was already held on February 16 at Diwan-e-Aam, Lahore Fort, and now the official opening ceremony will take place.
President Asif Ali Zardari will be the Chief Guest at the tournament’s opening ceremony on Wednesday, which will include a PAF air display known as “Sher Dil.” Members of Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy winning squad were also recently invited to another celebration by the board.

The viewers from all around the world will be able to watch the live streams on different platforms in India. JioHotstar has made the tournament free on their site, while TV viewers will be able to watch it on Star Sports and Sports 18 networks.
The audience will be able to experience the majesty of the occasion as the air display, which is anticipated to last 5–10 minutes, takes place right before the toss. It will be the Champions Trophy 2025’s official opening event.
