The India cricket team, led by captain Rohit Sharma, has landed in Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy. The Men in Blue were set to travel in batches, and the set has arrived for the marquee event on January 19. The first set of players and support staff, which included the Indian captain, Virat Kohli, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and Hardik Pandya, had left from the Chhatrapati Sivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai a couple of hours ago.

Other players that have landed in Dubai include Ravindra Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, and Arshdeep Singh. Assistant coaches Ryan ten Doeschate, Morne Morkel, and Abhishek Nayar have also reached, along with fielding coach T. Dilip. Given that Team India faces Bangladesh on February 20, the remaining contingent will arrive soon as well.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and Mohammed Siraj won’t join the team as they are non-travelling reserves. In fact, Dube and Jaiswal will play for Mumbai against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 semifinal. Siraj would rest, as his domestic side, Hyderabad, has been knocked out after the group stage ended.
