Get ready for a double dose of Pokémon fun this February Community Day! Karrablast and Shelmet, the Clamping and Snail Pokémon, will be the stars of the show on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Both Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms. Pokémon GO February Community Day details are listed below:

Evolving Karrablast into Escavalier during the event (until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time) will grant it the Charged Attack Razor Shell. Similarly, evolving Shelmet into Accelgor will teach it Energy Ball.
A special, paid research story is also available for US$2.00 (or equivalent). This research offers increased encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet (including two each with special Dual Destiny backgrounds), a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL. Tickets can be gifted to friends who are at least Great Friends. Note that this research doesn’t include an in-game medal or a story.

A free Timed Research will also be available for players who log in during Community Day. Completing this research will reward encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet (with Dual Destiny backgrounds) and an increased chance to encounter their Shiny forms. Remember to finish this Timed Research by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time.
Enjoy triple XP for catching Pokémon, double Candy, and a doubled chance for Candy XL (for Trainers level 31 and up). Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours during the event.3 Take snapshots for a surprise, and enjoy one extra Special Trade (for a total of two) with 50% less Stardust cost from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
Community Day-themed Field Research will offer rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and more Karrablast and Shelmet encounters (including possible encounters with Dual Destiny backgrounds). PokéStop Showcases will also feature the two Pokémon.
