It was not the start that Rohit Sharma was expecting. Making a return to the Ranji Trophy after a decade, the India Cricket Team captain was dismissed for just 3 runs. Rohit’s poor form in red-ball cricket continues as the ace batter had his stay on the crease for just 19 deliveries.
Mumbai skipper Ajinkya Rahane opted to bat first after winning the toss. There were huge expectations for Rohit Sharma to shine brightly. But that was not the case to be. The Hitman had a very short stay on the crease and was ultimately dismissed for just 3 runs against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy clash.
Rohit Sharma falters again!
The India Cricket Team had a disaster in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The team was handed a humiliating 3-1 defeat by the Australians which ended India’s dreams of making it to the WTC Finals. What was even more concerning was the form of some of the batters like that of captain Rohit Sharma.
The hitman managed to score just 31 runs. After the team’s return to India, it was claimed that the players would take part in the domestic setup to get back to their form. It is absolutely the need of the hour given less than a month remains before the ICC Champions Trophy.
But Rohit’s return to domestic cricket wasn’t something that he expected. Batting first against Jammu and Kashmir, hopes were high for the star batter to unleash his fury. In turn, Rohit was set packing soon after managing to score just 3 runs.
