Kolkata Knight Riders’ star player Rinku Singh is making headlines amidst rumors of his wedding. Amid the speculation, the all-rounder has gifted a Kawasaki Ninja sports bike worth Rs. 3.19 lakh to his father, Khanchandra Singh.
A video of his father riding the bike has gone viral. Rinku Singh’s father, who was once a delivery boy, had always dreamt of owning a fancy bike. It must have been a proud moment for Rinku Singh as he handed over the keys to the new Rs. 3.19 lakh bike.
Rinku Singh’s marriage rumours
According to India Today, Rinku Singh is reportedly set to marry Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Priya Saroj. Priya’s father, Tufani Saroj, shared that their families had significant discussions with Rinku Singh’s father in Aligarh on January 16.
“No ring ceremony or pre-wedding program has been held so far,” Tufani Saroj told PTI.
“Rinku and Priya have known each other for over a year. They both liked each other but needed their families’ consent for the relationship. Both families have agreed to this marriage,” he added.
Rinku Singh’s price hike in IPL 2025
Rinku Singh emerged as the top retention pick for Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The defending champions secured the left-handed batter by investing a hefty sum of Rs. 13 crore. The player used to get Rs. 50 Lakh in the IPL 2023.
Rinku Singh, the talented left-handed batter, has been included in India’s T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series against England, starting on January 22 in Kolkata.
Rinku gained widespread attention during IPL 2023 when he smashed five consecutive sixes against Yash Dayal. He has also been retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL 2025 season.
