Former India all-rounder created a mini-controversy when he suggested that the Indian players did not stay together in the same team hotel during the IND vs AUS Test series. The problem began when the readers started predicting that Virat Kohli was the culprit. But then, the junior Pathan clarified that he wasn’t talking about the 36-year-old Indian batter.
Virat Kohli Didn’t Stay with Team Hotel?
In a tweet criticizing the players, Pathan had lashed out by saying, “Even the greatest players in the past stayed in the same hotels as the rest of the Indian team. How was staying in a separate hotel allowed in the first place?” While of course, there is no proof if any of the players stayed separately. but then what is clear is, Jasprit Bumrah and Virat, who travelled with their families, did not travel with the rest of the team.
But the ex-player was soon responded, and cleared the air. He wrote, “Nah not talking about Virat.” Meanwhile, all sorts of reports surfaced during the IND vs AUS tour. There were many that claimed, that the Indian team did not socialise together, and went only one team dinner during their two-month stay Down Under.
Team India Surrounded With Controversies
The Aussie media claimed that the team did not party together even after the win in Perth Test. And then now, it seems that Gautam Gambhir accused Sarfaraz Khan of leaking dressing room conversations. If that is not enough, there are rumours all across, that the management and the team weren’t on the same page, as to which players should be part of the team.
