The friction between India vs Australia is at its peak. The two sides came to a huge confrontation in the last over of Day 1 of the Sydney Test. Jasprit Bumrah was eager to finish his over so that the India Cricket Team could bowl another over. But the Aussie batters weren’t too keen. As a result, after stumps on Day 1, Rishabh Pant accused the hosts of time wasting.
Day 1 of the IND vs AUS 5th Test saw India being bowled out to a modest score of 185. And then the visitors started to bowl full throttle at Sam Konstas and Usman Khawaja. But the Aussies weren’t too keen to bat and wanted the day to end. India however was unwilling and wanted to bowl another over to etch out a wicket and put pressure on the opposition.

On-field battle continues among bitter rivals
“They [Konstas and Khawaja] wanted to waste some time. I feel that’s the reason he had a conversation with Jasprit. He said something, I didn’t hear it. But I feel that’s the only thing he wanted to do, just waste some time so we didn’t bowl one more over,” Rishabh Pant said to the media after stumps.
Indian keeper Rishabh Pant wasn’t too happy either. During Bumrah’s last over Khawaja changed his stance multiple times. Konstas too engaged in a war of words with the bowler so as to waste time. Pant claimed he didn’t hear what transpired between Konstas and Bumrah, but claimed the Aussies were deliberate in wasting time.
In the end, it was India and Jasprit Bumrah who had the last laugh. With a devilish delivery, he dispatched the southpaw as the day ended with the Aussies batting on 9/1 and trailing by 176 runs.
