The opening batter has scored a fast century in the match against Saurashtra, held at the Gujarat College Cricket Ground ‘A’ in Ahmedabad. Leading the Punjab team, Abhishek played a brilliant inning, scoring a century in 60 balls. He played a 170-run knock in 96 balls. His knock included 22 fours and 8 sixes, with a striking rate of 177.08, putting Punjab in a strong position. With this knock, Abhishek is surely showing the selectors that he’s ready for the Champions Trophy challenge.
Partnership with Prabhsimran Singh
Alongside Abhishek, Prabhsimran Singh also played a crucial innings. He scored 125 runs off 95 balls, not out, with 11 fours and 8 sixes. Singh’s innings complemented Abhishek’s aggressive batting and helped keep the run rate high. Together, they formed an explosive opening partnership, pushing Punjab’s score to 298 runs without loss.

Both Abhishek and Prabhsimran took full advantage of the favourable conditions, punishing any loose balls from the Saurashtra bowlers. Their confident stroke play entertained and kept the pressure on the opposition throughout their partnership.
