Former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu tore into Travis Head over his “obnoxious behaviour” on field on Day 5 of IND vs AUS 4th Test in Melbourne. The Aussie all-rounder celebrated the fall of a wicket in a rather bizarre fashion, sparking outrage. While Australia skipper Pat Cummins explained that the celebration had a rather funny anecdote to it, Sidhu claimed that it was insulting 1.4 billion Indians and demanded strict punishment.
Travis Head’s obnoxious behaviour called out
Head broke out into this bizarre celebration following the dismissal of Rishabh Pant. The all-rounder provided Australia with the much-needed breakthrough at a time when both Pant and Jaiswal looked like they were taking the game away from Australia. Taking to social media platform X, Sidhu opined that such behaviour did not auger well with the gentleman’s game and said that it set the worst possible example.

What does Travis Head’s celebration mean?
“I can explain that. His finger is so hot, that he is going to put it in a cup of ice. Yes, that’s what it is. That’s normally the running joke. Was it at the Gabba or somewhere, where he got a wicket as well and just got straight to the fridge, grabs a bucket of ice, puts his finger in and just walks in front of Lyno (Nathan Lyon). Just like that, I think it’s very funny. So that’s what it would have been, nothing else,” Cummins told reporters
