Barcelona are currently placed third in the La Liga standings. The Catalan side was steady in leading the standings but then dropped the ball and now finds themselves behind Atletico and Real Madrid in the La Liga Standings. For Hansi Flick and his boys, the team now needs to build on the attacking front and thus have identified Mason Greenwood and Nico Williams as their key targets.
Mason Greenwood
As reported by Goal.com, Barcelona are very much interested in signing former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. After his loan spell in Getafe, he has been good in Ligue 1 playing for Marseille. The 23-year-old English striker has been brilliant in France and has played a whooping 1,342 minutes across all competitions.
He has already notched up 11 goals and 2 assists from 16 games across all tournaments and is raring to go more. While Barcelona can find it hard to match his heavy transfer fee, the Catalan giants are very much interested in Mason Greenwood and would love to bring the star player to Camp Nou.
Nico Williams
Athletic Club winger Nico Williams is also the target for the Spanish giants. Back in 2024, the 22-year-old winger won the Euro 2024 for Spain and has progressed well. While his negotiations fell through last summer, reports claim that they have reappeared yet again.
Nico in the meanwhile has been having a subpar season. He has played 1623 minutes and has managed to score twice and assist 5 times across all tournaments this season. Adding him to Barcelona’s roster makes sense as it would greatly bolster the squad depth for the side.

Chadi Riad
Barcelona are planning to bring back one of their own again. The 21-year-old left currently plays in the Premier League for Crystal Palace. But the Moroccan international has previously spent time in Barcelona from 2020-24. He mainly played on loan moves before moving to Betis.
Barcelona has f €7 million buyback clause on his contract and can trigger it if they need it. It can be a quick fix for the side that can improve their bench strength. Despite joining Palce for a 5-year contract, he has just played 1 Premier League game and 10 minutes in the EFL cup.
