Later, Virat Kohli was upset when Channel 7 showed footage of him with his two children at the Melbourne airport. On Saturday, the controversy grew when Jadeja spoke to the media at the MCG, answering questions only in Hindi and not taking questions from the Australian media.

Australian media criticism
Channel 7 reported that Jadeja “refused” to answer in English and described the press conference as “disorganised and hopeless.” They claimed Jadeja finished the conference by mentioning he had to catch the bus. However, the truth was that Jadeja answered in Hindi because the questions were in Hindi from Indian reporters. He did not mention anything about a bus, and the press conference was arranged only for the Indian media.
Reaction from BCCI and Indian media
On Sunday, Cricket Australia planned a T20 match between Indian and Australian reporters as a friendly gesture at Junction Oval in Melbourne. However, The Age reported that the match was cancelled. The BCCI’s media manager withdrew first, followed by other Indian reporters, leading to the cancellation.
