On Day 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals made a major purchase, securing Jofra Archer for Rs. 12.5 crore. The franchise has acquired a total of five players so far. Entering the auction with Rs. 41 crore, RR now have Rs. 17.35 crore remaining for the IPL 2025 auction.
Rajasthan Royals have retained all six players with zero Right-to-Match (RTM) cards remaining for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. RR will be looking to further strengthen their squad in the IPL 2025 mega auction, with Rahul Dravid, their new head coach, sitting at the table to strategize and plan for a competitive team for the upcoming season.

Just like KKR, RR have retained six players and are left with no RTM cards for the IPL 2025 Auction. They would have liked to use it on some of the released players, like Avesh Khan and Buttler, but then that won’t be the case.

RR spent 79 Cr on retaining their six players and are left with only 41 Cr in their purse — the least among all teams. They need to be mighty careful while filling in the remaining slots in their team.
