Fortnite is set to revolutionize its pass progression system. Starting December 1st, all Fortnite passes, including Battle Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO Pass, will progress simultaneously based on XP earned from any experience. This means whether you’re battling in Battle Royale, racing in Rocket Run, or exploring creator-made islands, you’ll be earning progress towards all your active passes. Check out the detailed information on Fortnite Pass Progression Update.
Fortnite Pass Progression Update: Simplified Pass Structure
To streamline the process, future Music and LEGO Passes will adopt a single-track structure, similar to the Battle Pass. This means you’ll progress through a single track, unlocking both free and premium rewards as you earn XP.
You’ll have the freedom to claim rewards from any active pass in any order, without being restricted to a specific sequence. Additionally, you can enable auto-claim to automatically collect rewards as they become available.

Currency Retirement
To further simplify the system, Fortnite will retire Festival Points, Battle Stars, and Studs. These currencies will no longer be required to unlock rewards. Instead, you’ll simply earn XP and claim rewards as you progress.
If you have a specific reward in mind, you’ll be able to purchase it directly, without needing to progress through the entire pass. This offers greater flexibility and allows you to target the rewards you desire. With these changes, Fortnite aims to provide a more streamlined and player-friendly pass progression system, ensuring that every experience you enjoy contributes to your overall progress and rewards.
