Pakistan to take action on disciplinary issues with help of ‘independent intelligence agency’
Reports of disciplinary issues in the Pakistan cricket team emerged following the side's miserable T20 World Cup campaign

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly formed a special committee to examine the reports on disciplinary issues in the men’s team. As per Cricket Pakistan, the committee set up by the board will review three reports on the conduct of the players. Reports of players misbehaving with coaches and selectors emerged earlier following Babar Azam and co’s exit from the T20 World Cup, marking yet another failure following the ODI World Cup debacle.

As per reports, the three reports which will be reviewed have been compiled by the head coach, the team manager and an independent intelligence agency. The committee will reportedly be headed by a former captain and will inform the players of its decision once it finishes examining the reports.

‘No compromise on discipline’

The board’s chairperson, Mohsin Naqvi, said in a statement, that there would be zero tolerance for violations of discipline. He also warned against grouping on the national side.

There will be no compromise on discipline. There will be a zero-tolerance policy against players who violate discipline. There should be unity and consensus within the team. Grouping players will not be tolerated,” PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi had warned earlier in July.
