Virat Kohli may have already become the greatest-ever ODI batter to grace the sport. After playing the format for 16 years, he has ample wisdom to impart to others. He did the same during the India vs Sri Lanka practice session ahead of the 1st ODI on August 2. Playing alongside his Delhi state mate, Harshit Rana, the former skipper was seen having a chat in the nets.
For the unknown, Harshit Rana is looking to make his India debut. He was part of the squad for the Zimbabwe series but couldn’t get a place in the XI. With Jasprit Bumrah rested, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir might want to give the 22-year-old a chance. Gambhir has already seen Harshit up close during the IPL 2024 season as the Kolkata Knight Riders’ mentor and could start with him in the 1st ODI on August 2.
