Tamil Thalaivas’ Surjeet Singh has been a phenomenon this season while his teammate Sagar has also been rock-solid in defence, claiming the most tackle points combined in the league. The experienced skipper of Tamil Thalaivas skipper is leading his team in defence, having successfully completed 33 successful Tackles so far, earning 35 points. The right cover defender has been a nightmare for the raiders and has played a crucial role in the Thalaivas staying at the top-half of the table.
Sagar – Tamil Thalaivas [21 Tackle Points]
Sagar, who is just playing his second season of the PKL is having an excellent year already with the Tamil Thalaivas. He has partnered along with the experienced Surjeet and is accumulating tackle points for his team. He has so far earned 27 tackle points and also has has the most number of High 5s in the season (4).

Jaideep – Haryana Steelers [19 Tackle Points]
Haryana Steelers’ defender Jaideep is enjoying an excellent debut PKL season. He, along with fellow defender Surender Nada, has made Haryana Steelers a defence-heavy unit. He has scored 29 Tackle points so far. However the team’s struggles in the raids have made them languish at the eighth position in the table.

Sahul Kumar – Jaipur Pink Panthers (28)
The experienced Sahul Kumar who had a poor start to the league is back to what he does best. He has so far scored 28 tackle points in 8 matches and played a crucial role in the resurrection of his team. He has led the defence department as the Panthers are enjoying a three-match win streak.
Mohammadreza Chiyaneh – Patna Pirates [19 Tackle Points]
Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh is making his PKL debut this season and the youngster has already emerged as the star defender for the new-look Patna Pirates. He has picked up 27 tackle points in 9 matches so far.
