The termination seems to be limited to content staff as of now, although 100 Thieves has not made any official statement so far.

Former 100 Thieves employees open up about their termination

100 Thieves recently let go of several employees from the content department. Jake Lucky was one of the first people to report this, and stated that this could be a trend that fans can expect from esports organizations in the coming days.

Although this layoff has not affected creators so far, many individuals from the editorial and content teams have been terminated from their role.

100 Thieves has not released an official statement yet, and fans speculate that the organization will most likely not release any announcement about the termination of behind the scenes employees. However, parallels have been drawn between this mysterious termination and that of TSM employees that were seen a few weeks ago.

The termination has allegedly taken place across various levels, ranging from executive producers to recent hires. Many former employees took to Twitter to post about the incident.

Former Executive Producer Mike Aransky also took to Twitter to share his thoughts. He shared a thread of his cherishable memories with the organization as well.

So far, all the Twitter posts from former employees have shown gratitude towards the organization and no malice anywhere. Therefore, it cannot be said that they were terminated on ill terms. However, the reason behind this termination is still unclear.

The recent 100 Thieves layoff left fans extremely puzzled

Fans speculate that the looming recession might be one of the factors that pushed the organization to take such a step. Contrarily, like TSM, failed crypto investments could also be a reason behind this. However, it is all speculation at this point, so fans should wait for an official confirmation before arriving at any conclusions.
