WWE Smackdown Predictions: Three things that could take place this week- The first Smackdown of 2022 promises to be a grand affair, with both the top champions will be present under the same roof at the same time. What else is expected on the first edition of WWE Smackdown of 2022? Let’s check out.

WWE Smackdown Predictions: Brock Lesnar interrupts Roman Reigns’ segment

Universal Champion Roman Reigns missed the WWE Day 1 PPV event on January 1, 2022 (January 2 in India) as he got tested positive for COVID-19. However, a week later, he will return to the Blue brand.

The newly crowned WWE Champion Brock Lesnar said this past week on Monday Night Raw that he will be at Smackdown to confront Roman Reigns. If that is the case, the Beast is expected to intervene in Roman Reigns’ segment on Smackdown, and we might witness the two top champions in the same ring under the same roof.

WWE Smackdown Predictions: Cesaro and Sheamus to continue their feud

Friday Night Smackdown lacks star power, with many superstars either released, out with injury, or parted ways with the company. With only a handful of top superstars available on the Blue brand, we might see Sheamus and Cesaro continue their on & off feud to give something to the WWE Universe.

We may see the two former friends turn foes in a back & forth battle or some sort of a tag-team bout where the heel team (Sheamus) will compete against the babyface team (Cesaro). The two men are expected to show up this week on Smackdown.

WWE Smackdown Predictions: Who’s next for Charlotte Flair?

After releasing Toni Storm last week, Charlotte Flair is out of challengers. She is the face of the limited women’s division on Friday Night Smackdown, but it seems like WWE is thinking of going back to the drawing board and may bring Sasha Banks back in the title hunt.

There is a possibility of the two ladies colliding at the Showcase of Immortals, i.e. Wrestlemania 38, and the road to Wrestlemania for the Boss could start from the Royal Rumble PPV event. Will Sasha Banks win the 30-woman Royal Rumble match and challenge Charlotte Flair for the title? If that is the case, we might see something cooking in this predicted storyline right from this upcoming week.
