Rohit Sharma was eventually out for 101 runs bowled by Michael Bracewell ending the 212 runs stand for the opening wicket. In 3 years, Rohit scored just five half-centuries as the wait for his 30th century continued. The century made him joint third on the list of most ODI hundreds. The team India skipper has now equally the record of former Australia captain Ricky Ponting. The 48-year-old Ponting had finished his ODI career with 30 centuries from 375 one-day internationals. Rohit on the other hand reached the milestone in his 241st match. Rohit currently holds the record for most ODI double hundreds (3) and most T20I hundreds (4).

The ‘Hitman’ now has former West Indies batter Chris Gayle (331) and former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi (351) ahead of him in the list.
