NBA 2020-21: NBA masterfully pulled off a successful NBA 2019-20 regular season and a playoff run with relatively few barriers. NBA now is charging ahead with an insignificantly edited regular season, scheduled to start in less than four weeks.

The coronavirus is still surging around the United States. A few days ago, more than 2,300 people in the nation died from COVID-19, the highest daily total since early May.

In only two weeks, 2 million new cases have been recorded in the U.S.A. More than 260,000 Americans have died of COVID-19.

NBA 2020-21: How has the NBA prepared for Covid-19?

NBA organizations began coronavirus testing on a daily basis to prepare for the start of training camps next week.

All the teams were issued a 134-page “Health and Safety Protocol Guide” for the 2020-2021 season this morning, per sources. Now, the NBA tries this outside of a bubble.

NBA 2020-21: NBA’s 8 health and safety protocols:

With appropriate protocols in terms of distancing and advanced testing, you will be able to bring fans back into arenas. It’s certainly our goal. But it’s dependent on some additional advancements. Rapid testing may be the key here.” said Adam Silver.

The LA Lakers, however, have decided to not allow fans in their arena for the entire 2020-21 season.

For arena suites at 25% capacity or less, testing would not be required for fans. Teams would be permitted for allowing 50% of fans if all fans were tested.
